When using a Bluetooth® car kit, headset or a car factory installed hands-free, a phone holder is not necessary to operate the hands free system as the sound from the phone is wireless transmitted to the speaker and microphone of the hands free device. However, a phone holder will provide an upright and vertical position of the phone high up on the dashboard, translating into improved reception. A phone holder also offers a convenient and easy to reach place for the phone, eliminating the need for "holding or fumbling" with the phone while driving. For optimal driving safety, use voice dialing or speed dialing for outgoing calls.
Universal phone holders are available for all phones. For the newer Motorola's and Blackberry's we offer phone specific models with built-in battery charging and connection to external antenna, which increases your coverage area. Turn your phone into a 3 watt power house (=further extends the coverage area) by adding a signal booster or wireless repeater. Note that a "mounting device" should be selected unless after completing your phone cradle selection.
